GEDI - Jedi Lore

Nonda was a Drall. Throughout Jedi history few information was left on how certain species seemed to have more Force sensitive individuals. Nonda thought that she had heard from her grandmother that her brother was one of the Jedi that was killed during the Clone Wars. Nonda was also told that having an ability to tap into the Force generally skipped generations. She new her father was not Force sensitive, but it seemed that her mother always knew where to look when she was trying to find her. At first Nonda thought it was luck, but her grandmother told her that there was no coincidence. "Things happen for a reason, Nonda. It is the wise one who finds out what that reason is…or was." Nonda sometimes believed that her grandmother spoke in riddles, or said things that seemed to have no answer..or no ending. "Do or do not…There is no try… Ignore ignorance." were some of the things that came to her mind off hand. Choices were things that Nonda hated to make. But this one choice changed her life forever .…

Nonda was at the academy taking a course on pre-Empire history. Her instructor mentioned the Clone Wars, and some of the battles that took place in the Corellian System. Nonda heard the instructor list some facts on how many Dralls were killed in these battles, and how the Old Republic Jedi came to Drall to extingush the threat. During this time of instruction Nonda, began to daydream, at least she thought she was. She then realized it was some kind of trance. She saw before her another Drall, male, and he was holding a weapon. A type of sword that reminded her of the weapon that she saw Luke Skywalker holding in pictures. He told her to follow him. He would show her how to reach her destiny. He explained to her that she had a powerful family that was rich in the true essence of the Force. He hit a gold button and the length of his sword increased. It was almost twice its previous amplitude. He told her where she could go to find a weapon just like his. He said that all she had to do was believe. Believe. He took his elegant weapon and put it to her face. She could feel the heat from it.

The heat. It was beginning to become unbearable, when she realized it wasn’t his blade she was feeling, but a carbon lighter that her friend Imt had put beside her face to try to wake her up. "Wake up." She can now hear Imt’s voice coming in clearly. "Girl, you were out. I’m surprised that Instructor Ndorog didn’t wake you up himself. What were you thinking about while you were sleeping?"

Nonda turns away as she grabs her manuals. "Nothing Imt. Just a strange dream. Nothing for you to concern yourself with. I will catch up with you later okay?" Nonda leaves the classroom, as she thinks about her dream. "What was that?" she asks herself. "Who was that guy?" By the time she stops walking, she realizes that she has wandered off campus into the woods behind Historical Hall. She hears his voice again saying "Believe. Believe." She has a decision to make, should she:

continue to walk the path she was on

turn around and go back to Historical Hall

return home and tell her grandmother of her dream
