By anybody saying they hate this group or that group, be they Christians or whatever,
they are in effect saying that they view these people only from their belief system.
How very sad. This totally invalidates each and every person's individuality and their
being a child of God/the Force - same as we all are.
There are many Christian Jedis here as well as members from each and every major
religion and belief system. Are we to separate these members according to their belief
systems and "hate" or dislike them for their beliefs? In reality, if we met each other on
an individual basis without knowing one another's belief systems, we might find that a
Christian - or whoever - that we were formerly taught to hate is now our best friend.
Many times people say they don't like Christians because they are self-righteous and
denounce those that aren't Christians. And maybe some of them do - but it is on an
individual basis - not a group basis. Bigotry is not a teaching of Christ, and those that
act thusly are not true Christians anyway.
Perhaps some of this type of group hatred seems justified because of acts that a
certain group has performed. Again, does that mean we must hate/dislike all members
of that group then and denounce them because of what some members might have
done. Without mercy, there is no forgiveness, and without forgiveness there is no love.
Much of this type of hatred comes from early indoctrination - parents teaching their
children to be intolerant and hateful of certain people. Hatred like this is born of bigotry
and fear and as such leads to the dark side. Jediism is a path of light, love, mercy and
tolerance. Those that find they can't open their hearts and learn to love their fellow
men will never get far down the path of Jediism.
Fortunately, people can change and by truly embracing the Light and opening their
heart to love they can overcome this type of momentum.
