Questions & Answers

I have been working with Jedi Gathering related material since 2004. Either I was Hosting, Co-hosting, or scrambling all over the interwebz to help promote, announce, and get the word out to all the various Jedi Groups within the Jedi Community. When communication's turned it's eyes onto Facebook, I started yearly groups to discuss that years gathering and any other meet-up's. Recently...The flow and methodology has shifted and changed. Gatherings are becoming more popular and everyone has their own way of doing them. As a result it feels as if Gatherings and it's Information are becoming scattered, disjointed and difficult to follow.

(Or perhaps I'm the only one that thinks so?)

Despite many various and sometimes expensive attempts to organize the chaos, getting any one of them to stick is difficult because everyone wants to be masters of their own throne.

I created this website in hopes of helping new and old members of the Jedi Community to find Gatherings near them, and/or gain knowledge on one day starting up their own.

Of course. Some Confusion are found and I hope to clear some up.

Is this site "Neutral"?

Yes. As neutral as can be. I am however the only one working on this, so you will often find me referencing my other website "Just Jedi" where I keep history and record of Jedi Activity. The two projects are completely separate so instead of doubling up my work and repeating thig in two different locations...I will commonly redirect to there (and other group locations) for ease of information sharing.

Why are you the only Admin?

For some reason this seem to bother a very small handful of folks.

The answer though is simple. No one has offered to put forth the work and effort needed towards this website in particular or it's associated Facebook group/pages. There has also been security breaches and loss of hard work and information the last time I opened admin roles. Since most gathering hosts prefer to stick to their own throne...i have not felt the need to bother anyone with extra work they don't want. Nor is there really much for anyone to do. Asides for keeping a positive presence, adding information, bumping important events and checking up on folks from time to time on facebook...there really isn't much anyone can do more than what a regular member can already do.

If you are truly passionate and eager to help, bump upcoming event threads, post up inspiring things to get member interested, advertise the events on other groups, share this website to interested people and take an active role in what this website and it's facebook groups stand for. Jedi Gatherings!

Do that, and you are already doing more than what any "Admin" Titled person has thus far.
