The world according to Hellflower.Walking up the halls of the Academy you come to a door which bears a sign:"Check Your Paradigm at the Door"
You notice how cool the quartz crystal knob feels in your hand as you twist it and give the heavy wooden door a push. It swings open and you step inside to find yourself standing on a tribal Kurdish kilim rug whose zig-zag pattern runs in colors of cherries, blues, purples, greens and blacks. Beneath the rug the wood floors are stained a deep, dark color. The walls are painted the light reddish color of a sunset.
In one corner of the room an orange and red Sun Conure clambers around in his large cage. Determining that you are no threat--and that you have no treats to offer--he remains silent. In another corner, a beautiful suit of samurai armor stands guard beside the door leading to Hellflower's sleeping room.
Several weird, fantastical watercolor paintings hang on one wall. With them are mixed a variety of ethnic and archaeological fragments. Balinese masks, a golden Thai Buddha, a large metal scarab. Bookshelves line another wall, floor to ceiling, on either side of a window over-looking the courtyard. You also notice lots of seashells scattered here and there. Hellflower, however, is nowhere to be found.
Turning to leave, you notice a note pinned to the door:"Sorry I missed you. You can reach me several ways:
By posting a message at the Academy Courtyard.
By e-mailing me at hellflwer@aol.com.
Or by AOL IM'ing me at Hellflwer.
