Jedi of the New Millennium was one of the earliest off-shoot schools from The Jedi Academy. The aim at JotNM was to allow the Jedi to teach one another. There was a staff that originally contained five members of various levels of development. This staff put together the first lessons of the JotNM training section and was reported to of thrived for some time.

Unfortunately one of the founders of JotNM left for personal reasons and the site was left in the care of other administrations...which did not bode well for it’s future development. As a result the membership divided first due to a lack of controls on the administration end and a desire to keep things going, but then they found their own growth and direction to flourish independent of the main JotNM efforts and was then renamed to “Temple of the Jedi Arts” in 2001 which made…

I recommend using a bokken, and you may be concerned with techniques like Tachtori(Disarming Bokken Attack)but it will come later.

In this weeks lesson you will learn the parts of the bokken, and the basic stances. Remember, if you don't know what something is, see the glossary.

Here you will learn the ways of the saber in the style of Kenjutsu

Last week we learned about the bokken parts, stances, and one basic strike exercise. Remember; use a bokken stick or practice weapon! This week we will learn the basic strikes, and the sphere/circle theory.

Size matters not. It is not the completion of the task that is the true goal, but the doing of it. Do, or do not. There is no try. How you act is how you prove yourself. You do not try and walk, you do it. Put this logic into everything. Commitment and a serious mind are commendable, but these are nothing if you do not believe you can do all this. Do not focus on the future, or on idle pleasures while you are training, or you will fail. Anger and recklessness CAN be tempered into calm and determination, it only takes patience not only on the part of the Master, but also of the student.
