Determine Your Goals - Before we begin training, we need to know what it is we are actually training in. Make a list of achievable Goals.
Identify Intention - What is the purpose of your goals? Take time to consider the value in what you hope to achieve or gain. Make your intentions clear.
Understand Execution - Research Research, don't rely on others to give you the answers. Find the answers to "how" on your own so that you can better understand what you are attempting to do.
Commit the basics to memory - Once you have your goal, and are clear in your intentions...commit the basics to memory. Be ready to step out onto your dojo mat and give it your all.
Check your Tools - Some methods of practice may require certain tools to help you. Make sure you have plenty of water, something to record your thoughts and results, and possibly a timer to help keep you on task.
Safety First - Secure your area. Make sure all is safe before you begin.
Apply The Practice - Once you are comfortable and knowledgeable with your practice, and are able to perform it without looking at notes, books, phones and/or computers. Put these distractions away and apply it for full benefits.
Journal Entry: Look back through your journal thus far, refresh your memory of the things we learned and write a summary about it. Add any extra notes, ideas, or valuable subject you would add to the program!
