The Force: its origin, present and future
From the depths of the universe it came, Life, and with life there came beauty. As Life grew, it diversified becoming more than just crude, skin and bones or leaves and branches. Vast energy grew with life, fed by both beauty and ugliness of life, thriving, growing and evolving. As life blossomed and grew ever more sophisticated, so the energy grew, becoming more defined and distinct.
With the growth of life there came the desire to seek knowledge, to understand the origins of and meaning of life. Beings thirst for knowledge fell upon the more tangible workings of the universe, and so the Force was forgotten. Technology became the wonder of philosophers and the research of scientists. So the galaxy stood, cruel, baron and heartless for time unknown.
Then came the Jedi, a group of sentient beings, forsaking the technology on which their societies were based, for knowledge of the Force. The Jedi studied the Force, discovering its depths and secrets in an attempt to bridge the gap between nature and technology. The Jedi tried to bring tranquility and peace to the galaxy, until they were betrayed.
Not all of those who researched the depths of the force were good. The Force is created by life and is neither good nor evil, but can be made to serve the evil. And so it was, just as the Jedi began to heal the Galaxies wounds after a thousand generations of neglect, that they were destroyed. Just as the Jedi had studied the Force for Good, others had studied the Force to discover if it could serve their evil intentions. It could.
The dark side of the Force was far more seductive and quick to master. Soon the evil ones had hunted and killed the ancient Jedi order to extinction.
