The Tree of Just Jedi is a visual diagram to help teach the Keystones of J.Jedi. A set of beliefs and codes developed to help introduce others to the core values of what we here at Just Jedi view Jedi to be. While developing these “KeyStones” I had many ideas floating around. The first was to scurry around to all of the current (At the time) Jedi Groups and ask it’s members two questions.
What is the Force to you in one word?
What is a Jedi to you in one word?
After a time I then went and collected all of the words, combined the copies and further condensed the similarities until reaching a very basic “core” list of definitions.
I also went about looking into the main foundations of what inspired all of us to become more than just fiction. One subject stood out - The Hero’s Journey by Joseph Campbell.
And finally. I wanted an image that everyone could relate to. A symbol that grounded everything together into one, thriving idea that stuck to readers and was easily understood. To me, that was a Tree. Not only is The Tree symbolized in all forms of religions and philosophy, but it is also a great physical representation of “Life” itself. I felt it was perfect for what I had in mind.
Combining everything together. The Key Words assembled throughout the entire community. The Journey inspired by Joseph Cambell’s “Hero”. And the Tree that stood for life itself. Thus, creating the J.Jedi Tree.
